Triptychs make for excellent large wall sculptures and many times, that is what a big, wide wall requires. I have placed these triptychs in foyers, in long, wide corridors, in banks and in hospitals. There is something about large wall art that magnificently uplifts the spirit.
The blue patinated copper wall sculpture looks like one piece, but it was actually designed to be three, then assembled before installation. Why not use it as vertical large wall decor? Many walls in modern buildings are two or three stories tall. The designs are reminiscent of the Anatolian-Celtic designs that were later adopted by the Greeks and Chinese. Before the rise of the Greek and the Persian empires, the Celtic people populated the entirety of Europe, from Turkey to Ireland.
This was my second style of triptych. These are often ordered as individual wall sculptures. They are reminiscent of sun or moon shapes reflecting off the windows of skyscrapers.
This was my first triptych. I have made several of these large wall art sculptures since.
