Most of my custom wall art is made for Art Consultants, Interior Designers, Architects and Galleries. References are available on request. The public is usually looking for inexpensive art work and can find that on Ebay and other sites.
Most of the artwork I do is commissioned and site-specific. I often work out designs on paper or clear mylar and make maquettes using the planned materials.
Custom wall art usually requires special containers and I’ve learned I have to charge for crating. Sometimes it can take 8 hours to build a box and get the art work secured inside. Sometimes people will pick up a large piece and save on the crating and shipping while combining the errand with a fun trip to the resort area on Lake Michigan where we live.
I usually bill the shipping to the customer. I ship everywhere in the USA and Canada via UPS, Fed Ex and Yellow Freight. They have all been very fast and reliable for me.
Internationally, I have shipped custom wall art via UPS to England and Fed Ex to Canada, China, Australia and New Zealand: Brokers and other shippers are available for international service as well
I require a 50% down payment to start on a project, with the balance due on shipping. I find this keeps everyone invested and focused.
I have the equipment to cut, shape, weld and finish aluminum, steel, stainless steel, bronze, copper and brass. I am quite skilled with paint and patinas. I can do coatings in clear, transparent colors and opaque colors.
I strive for on-time delivery. However, quality of design and craftsmanship are always my primary concerns. I will not ship until the work meets my standards. Sometimes the unforeseen occurs and brilliant solutions are not always immediately at hand.
I provide complete installation instructions for all custom wall art and usually provide the necessary installation hardware as well. I often ship a transparent Mylar ‘map’ with the piece, noting the exact location of the fasteners. This enables exact positioning of the custom art work to be achieved without first actually holding it in place and facilitates a very quick, easy installation with no need for corrections.
You can right-click on any image, download it and then use it for your presentation materials. If the definition isn’t high enough for your needs, please contact me and I will send you a 300 dpi image. I will also soon have many PDF files for your printing needs. I can send you packages of prints and other presentation materials. I will be working on a CD-ROM with a PowerPoint presentation as well.
Please feel free to contact me for pricing, drawings and ideas for custom wall art. I will do whatever I can to assist you. We all want to make the world a more beautiful place.
I am currently working on many new wall art design concepts. Stay tuned.
